I ordered the ivory color of this dress for my 2nd wedding. I love this look and had a marilyn inspired wedding at a historic vintage house in colorado. Everyone thought i was crazy to order my wedding dress online. I was divorced for 19 years and this was a very big deal for me. The dress fit me perfectly and i felt so beautiful on my day. This dress made a dream come true.. thank you now...... Sherry Snel ! :}

Fit

I ordered this dress for my wedding, crossed my fingers when I ordered it because even though what I ordered was a 3X, the waist measurement listed for 3X was 37", and my waist was measuring 41". It -just- fits, so I'm thrilled to bits. It's only 4 weeks until my wedding so I still have time to lose a few pounds, thankfully. The rhinestone brooch is lovely and not "cheap" looking at all, in my opinion. I was thoroughly impressed with the fit, except that women who are not as endowed as I am bosom-wise, may take issue with the cups being a bit loose on the sides. I think it depends on how full of a bust you have. Remember though that alterations are fairly inexpensive and can always be made if you fall in love with this dress and order it. The fabric is sumptious also. It fairly glows. Overall I have to give this dress five stars.

I was a little disappointed with this dress because it seemed cheaply made (the polyester satin was thin and felt like a kids' Halloween costume and the zipper was chintzy and sticky, the rhinestone brooch had a coated, plastic look). It also was not a flattering neckline, even if I had it tailored to correct the gaping at the sides it would look matronly on me (36C) or someone larger and would just be way too big on someone with a smaller chest. One thing I did like was the circle skirt, which because of the lightweight fabric swings up when you spin, which would be fun for dancing.

(written by 17 year old daughter, Paige S.) I LOVED this dress! I stuck the purple crinoline underneath and it looked fabulous at my prom. It was also easy to move around and dance in. It was a bit low cut for my age, but since the brooch was removable my mom could easily sew it. My boyfriend said I looked gorgeous, and everyone at my prom thought I looked amazing. Most importantly, NOBODY had my dress because I bought it online. Thanks, Unique Vintage!
