Esther Williams is the epitome of a UV Icon: glamorous, talented, intelligent, and athletic. Known worldwide as the Million Dollar Mermaid, she starred in a series of splashy aqua musicals throughout the 1940s and 50s and brought international attention to the sport of water ballet. “When I first started swimming, not many girls participated in the sport.
