Fit

I so so so wanted this dress to work for me. It's like this lovely cross between two of the white dresses MM wears in The Seven Year Itch (Subway Halter meets Criss-Cross Wiggle Dress) and I thought it would be very adaptable to dress up or down. It just wasn't meant to be. As far as sizing, I'm actually at a loss how to explain it. It fit, technically and it looked lovely on me at first, very flattering. But, after about half an hour of wearing it around the house, I discovered that I had to constantly pull it back up just as though it were a strapless dress. I suspect this will not be a problem for ladies who are lucky enough to be more well-endowed. I think the design just doesn't work for my body type. I decided to return it for a store credit. That process is still ongoing (I just dropped off the dress at the post office two days ago), but so far I've been pleased with how easy it was to find a return label and so forth. Hopefully the rest goes just as smoothly. In the meantime, I am on the hunt for something to order in its place...
