Roaring 1920s Cream Beaded Flapper Gatsby Dress

I brought down the house with this dress at a "speakeasy" charity event.
I'm 51 and a size 12/14. I needed to have the straps shortened so the girls(38D) were covered. I bought a low back strapless bra and wore spanx.
The blue velvet bow that is described, was actually hot pink! Not my speed. I snipped it out, then bought a thin black velvet ribbon, put a safety pin on the end and threaded the ribbon through myself. It was slow going, but once done, looked fabulous.
My shoes were ann marino "lido" pump. $50 bucks from dsw, in black, to match the threaded ribbon. With my black feather hair piece, I got more complements than I've EVER received.
Sadly, the dress material is cheap - however, the beading is very high quality. This dress would have cost $400+, easily, at a retail store, but would have been made with a more expensive material.
All things considered, I LOVE this dress and can definitely wear it to another dressy function.
