I've been meaning to write this review for about a year now. Last year, I bought this dress to wear to prom. It was technically my second choice after the black Brenda swing dress, which I was not able to get due to size availability, but I really am glad I ended up with this one. I was a little worried about it showing up in time, but that was entirely my fault, as I waited probably too long to purchase it (but hey, I'm in high school, takes a while to get the money, you know? :P). When I finally did get it, though, I completely fell in love. The material was stretchy (a pleasant surprise) and was very comfortable, and the white crinoline I bought with it was just the right length for the skirt. The dress had a beautiful twirl (which is something I've looked for in a dress since I was a little girl) and really was just exactly the retro style I was going for. I've never much cared for the styles of prom dresses that I see on most girls my age, and I wanted to go for a different, classier look. Almost everything about this dress was entirely perfect. My only complaint about the dress was that it was rather large for me in the bust, but that was to be expected seeing as how I am a long-running member of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee. I just had it taken in a bit and got a good padded bra. All in all, this dress was perfect from my prom. Or rather, my prom make-up date. My boyfriend got violently ill the night of the dance and we weren't able to go. I would have gone myself but I was a freshman at the time and it was strictly a senior thing. Anyway, I got tons and tons of complements, and I have since worn the dress to a wedding and a swing dance class, and it worked quite well for both. This dress now holds so many lovely memories and I wish I could wear it more often. Thank you so much, Unique Vintage! You really saved my butt for my "prom", and for many more special occasions to come.
