Based on reviews I purchased this dress for my daughter, who usually wears a size 4, in a size medium. The waist fit perfectly but the bodice gaped open in the front so you could see right into her dress (she has a small bust). If she had a larger bust she probably would have filled it out more and not had that problem. I altered the straps under the scoop neck and now it fits perfectly. Getting the wrinkles out was a bit difficult since the dress is cotton, but it's well made and worth the price. We also purchased the crinoline and it goes perfectly with the dress. Definitely a keeper!

I bought 4 of these dresses for a Theatrical Production and they look amazing up close and onstage. The fabric has a slight sheen to it that catches the light nicely. We used ours without crinoline and they look great. Our performers ranged in size from a 0-18. The dress looks good on all body shapes- very flattering. I found that they ran small. I ordered based on measurements and we had to squeeze the girl in the dresses (thank goodness for metal zippers!) I ordered a size small for my performer who wears a 0/1 and it was tight. Only notable dislike was ease of care. You really have to iron the dress to get the wrinkles out if using straight from the shipping box. No quick steaming- you have to work at it. But once ironed they look fabulous!

I received the dress exceptionally fast - within five business days. Unfortunately it is about two sizes too small. I measured twice around hips, waste, and bust. Despite this the dress was much too small around my waste and bust, but much too long. I have a large chest and am used to getting a size to fit my chest and then having the rest of the garment altered to fit, but even fitting the largest part of my body according to the dress measurements did not make a true fit. It would not zip up at all. I am 5' 3", weigh about 160lbs, 36DDD and ordered the 2X. Make sure you order one or two sizes up on this one.
