Fit

The dress is stunning, but I feel like it runs small. Because there was no side zipper, it was impossible to get over my head. I wish it fit, because I would love to keep this dress. Unfortunately, it's being returned.

Fit

LOVE this dress- it was a hit! There is no side zipper (??) but fit over my head easily and there was plenty of room for my curves (usually a women's size L, 10-12). I wanted a different look than the photo where the model has a white slip so it looks dark silver, so I used a black slip and it is a true black dress. The quality is gorgeous- each bead is sewn on. This dress is heavy, and swishes when you move, which is such a crowd pleaser! I lost quite a few beads in the car and around the house before leaving, so I'll have to be extremely careful the next time I wear it out. Can't wait to wear this again- even a month later I'm STILL getting compliments!

I have a black tie Gatsby party to go to, and honestly I've been really skeptical about finding a flattering flapper dress. I'm 5'11", usually a size 10-12 and I have a large (DD) chest and large thighs. Dropped waists have traditionally looked beyond horrendous on me. Then this dress came in the mail, I sighed, put it on, and my jaw dropped. Not only is it one of the most beautiful pieces of craftsmanship I have EVER seen in a piece of clothing not in a museum, but it is figure flattering and SLIMMING! I did not want to take it off. It looked especially nice in contrast to my pale skin, brown eyes and red lipstick. The other thing is, considering the black and silver, this will actually work very well as a cocktail dress for non-20's-themed occasions. If you are thinking about getting this dress, do it. My only concern might be length for shorter ladies. As I said, I'm 5'10.5"/5'11" and the dress came down to right over my knee cap, which is perfect for me, but it might be a bit long for others. Who knows though! All I can say is that I have literally never felt as sexy as when I put on this dress. Great job, unique vintage!
