Runs Big

This bathing suit top is well made and very pretty. It has supportive cups and thick straps, which is nice for those of us who are more busty. I also like that the top is longline -- it's more flattering, I think, and also it offers more support. HOWEVER, I would say it runs rather large! I'm usually an L-XL/12 for most things, and bathing suit sizes often run small, so I ordered an XL hoping it wouldn't be too small for my chest. When I tried it on the first time, I laced it up as tight as it could possibly go, and it was still far too loose for a bathing suit top. I sent the XL back and I am waiting for a large in the mail, but part of me is wondering if I should have sized down to a medium.
