I'm usually a size 6 1/2 but when shoes that only come in whole sizes, I usually go larger and use an insert. The 7 fit me perfectly without needing to add anything to the shoe. The toe area is actually comfortable and has some cushioning to it. I have to give the disclaimer that I've only tried them on at home and haven't walked a lot in them yet....
