The outerskirt has multiple tiers of nylon net with matching satin binding on each tier. The underskirt is made of nylon organza to prevent scratchiness. I ordered this petticoat with a purple marilyn dress. It is perfect with the dress. The right length and it doesn't make the dress stick out too much either. The one problem I have with it is that although the waist is elastic, it is quite big and loose on me.
